Progestrone Testing

Machine Used: Finecare Progestrone Machine

Accurate timing is everything when it comes to successful breeding. Progesterone testing allows us to pinpoint where your female is in her cycle so you can breed with confidence.

During your visit, a small blood sample is drawn from your dog and immediately run in our in-house progesterone analyzer. This provides fast, reliable results without the wait or stress of sending samples out.

Based on the progesterone level, we can determine:

Where your dog currently is in her heat cycle
When ovulation is approaching or occurring
The ideal window for natural breeding or artificial insemination

Progesterone testing helps reduce missed breedings, improves conception rates, and takes the guesswork out of timing. Whether you’re planning a natural breeding or AI, this service gives you the information you need to make the best decision for your breeding program.

Artificial Insemination

Artificial insemination is a valuable tool for breeders looking to improve breeding success and for breeders who want to utilize shipped semen. I am able to help with side by side AI or AI using shipped semen.

Ultrasound

I offer pregnancy confirmation ultrasounds around day 30 post-breeding to determine whether a breeding was successful. This non-invasive ultrasound allows us to confirm pregnancy and provide peace of mind during the early stages.

A confirmed ultrasound is especially helpful for breeders with waitlists, as it allows you to confidently share that your female is bred and expecting. While ultrasounds do not determine litter size, they are a reliable way to confirm pregnancy and plan next steps.
